Creating Motivation . . . The EASY WAY!

Do you ever struggle with getting motivated to follow-through on your commitments?  Do you find that no matter how good your intentions, you seem to quit after about 2 weeks . . . no matter what?

 

This is common for many people for simple reasons. If those reasons aren’t addressed, the pattern will continue and then it becomes easier and easier to feel like a loser and a failure!

 

In the Facebook IBP video this week, I share the story of a young client who struggled with those issues.  She was exhausted, couldn’t work or go to school. Her digestion was a mess and she couldn’t sleep.

 

In her first appointment we created a protocol of food and supplements to address the issues.  The digestion cleared up quickly, which is common when you get the right digestive enzyme.


However energy and sleep symptoms had not changed.  I asked her a few questions and it became clear there was a pattern.

Do You Struggle With Just the Thought of Exercise?

Do you ever struggle with even the thought of “E”? (otherwise known as exercise?)

That was my story for decades.  Having bought into a lie that “I was smart but a klutz”, I avoided “E” for years.  Once I turned 50 I started looking at my clients in their 60s and 70s.  I could see where I was headed and it wasn’t a pretty picture.  I decided it was time to face the “E” word and get moving.

Fortunately I had a coach and mentor in Shelly Dowling who helped me with brain integration, rehab basic movements I had lost (if I had ever had them) and keep it very easy.  This was years before we knew about Z-Health but her experience made a huge difference for me.

Over the years, I’ve discovered some basic strategies that have helped me and many clients.

A Tale of Two Trees

My favorite way to start each day is sitting on my deck with coffee, blueberries, my journal and my iPad. The iPad connects me to my favorite teachers and has my Kindle for easy book reference!

I'm not sure what I'll do when winter hits - probably put on my coat, bundle up and move the snow off so that I can continue to enjoy my morning, creating clarity of focus to start the day!

As I look off to the west, I see the amazing Rocky Mountains and . . . the two pictures attached this article. On the left are a couple of Aspen trees that are dying and on the right is one of the most beautiful, perfectly shaped White Spruce trees I've ever seen and it's in my yard!

Last week I had a wonderful Aha Momement- almost all of my 'seeing and thinking' has been focused on and fussing about the dying trees and wondering how to replace them. All the while I've been missing the joy of looking at and enjoying the majesty of my 'perfect' White Spruce!

Inflammation!  It's becoming the new ‘buzz word’ in the health world, and well it should!
